Summary: My husband and I typically book chain hotels, but we wanted something different for our 5 year wedding anniversary trip to Oahu. The Surfjack was EVERYTHING we hoped it would be and more! Our room was comfortable, spacious, and updated. We LOVED the coffee shop, bar, and restaurant on site - all three get a double thumbs up! We also really appreciated the lobby water refill station. The hotel sits in a great location that is walkable to many restaurants, shops, a target, etc. We truly felt like we were on vacation while staying at the Surfjack! Only notes would be: As a rare coffee drinker, a few iced tea selections at the coffee shop would be appreciated (my iced chai was very good though, and my husband liked his coffee). You will be walking a bit to and from your parked car. I believe they give you notice when you book & directions are provided upon checking in. We felt safe and it wasn’t an issue, but something for solo female travelers to consider.
